No one is going to give us anything. We haven't done anything in the past. But we've been out here taking it (respect) this year, that's for sure. |
No regret. I spoke the truth. I don't regret it. |
None of that is my concern at this point. |
Now I just have to continue to play consistently and make plays. |
So it's not a surprise that he's got something to say about it and that he's getting upset. Because that's his style, and I know that. |
Some people need something to be motivated. If that's what he found, that's what he found. I don't feel I was out of line. I meant what I said. I am not going to repeat it to stir something up. I meant it, and I meant it with no disrespect. |
That's not how it was intended. That's not how I spoke. I only meant the Seahawks will be ready on Sunday. |
The curtain call, it was great. You usually don't get a chance to do that in football. |
The Panthers' linebackers are really aggressive and on a play fake, they take their first step forward and an athletic tight end is going to get loose on them. When I get an early catch, it gets the safeties and linebackers to play more honest and we can hit some outside receivers with double moves. Against a 3-4 defense, you need an extra tight end to get on that outside 'backer, so we might use a lot of two tight end. |
The thing I've noticed this year is he's taken more control of the team. He's always been super talented. He's just become more of a field general. |
They were bringing four or five, and it confused us a little. We made our adjustments and we were able to start moving the ball again. |
They were playing up for the run. I got behind (Dan) Morgan and Matt threw a perfect pass. |
This is something I wish I didn't have to deal with but it's not that big a deal. What's said right now won't have any impact on Sunday. I'm pretty close to unaffected. It doesn't have any bearing on how I'm going to approach the game. |
This is the game that guys who have been on the Hawks more than two or three years have been waiting on, |
Tight end is a position where if you are a good athlete, teams are ready to get the ball to you now. They are looking for the tight end a little more than they have in the past. |
